SZE and LEUNG have been downcast about their separation. In order not to affect SHAN in any way, they have decided to keep it secret. SHAN notices that SZE and LEUNG have not been on speaking terms. Believing that SZE still cannot get over KWONG, he suggests she should forget the past and look ahead to the future. SZE can only give him a wry smile. LEUNG knows SZE has been in a bad mood. He doesn’t want to affect her work and plans to resign. SZE gives him a dressing-down and reminds him to work for the good of the students. FUNG has applied for sick leave.
