Ushio vindt het verhaal van zijn vader over een oude voorouder die een demon op een tempel altaar steen spietst met de legendarische Beast Spear gek, maar wanneer hij het monster in zijn eigen kelder vindt, moet Ushio nog eens naar de familielegende kijken! Gelukkig weet Ushio dat het het beste is om slapende honden niet wakker te maken en gevangengenomen demonen te laten waar ze zijn. Helaas begint de vrijlating van de kwade energieën van het monster andere demonen naar Ushio's geboorteplaats te lokken! Om zijn vrienden en familie te redden van de binnenvallende geesten, wordt Ushio gedwongen Tora uit zijn gevangenschap te bevrijden.
